The blowing agent in spray foam makes it expand up to 30 times its original volume. This allows it to fill and expand in any gaps and crevices it enters. Is insulating and air sealing basement rim joists important?

Do you insulate crawlspaces?
We insulate crawlspaces beneath homes, cottages and mobile homes. Insulating a crawlspace requires a different approach from a basement, and depends on whether the area is conditioned or unconditioned, or is located off the basement. Different basements require different solutions
